Tryon House Restaurant

Excellent find. It was recommended by our hotel. Excellent quality and quantity. Sides were absolutely homemade. Our server was very pleasant sweet lady. If we ever come back to the area I would come back again.

This is my go to restaurant. I'm usually satisfied with my meal. The mozzarella sticks are too die for no one else in the city has them they're definitely not your regular mozzarella sticks. I'm not sure if my waitress completely understood how I wanted my food, but it will not stop me from going here because the food is amazing

Good steak n eggs good price - not great but good.

Love this restaurant. I work nearby and can go there any time of day (or evening) and take anyone along because they have something on the menu for every appetite, diet and price range. I appreciate being greeted, seated and served soup all with minutes of arriving. The waitstaff has always been top notch, meals are consistently excellent and I usually leave with a doggie bag too. If you're on the fence, get off and just try Tryon House. I bet you'll be glad you did.

My waitress was very nice. I expected the Tryon House double cheeseburger with bacon to be bigger for the price but it tasted pretty good. Also got an omelet with home fries which was also pretty good. Restroom was very clean...always appreciated. Thanks for brunch.

I found this place on Yelp when I was looking for a different breakfast spot to hit and I must say I was impressed. Once I was seated and placed my order my meal came out within minutes. I never expected that with the amount of people that were in the restaurant, I only visited this restaurant once so far I will keep u posted on my next visit if this is the norm. I had the pancakes with pecans eggs and bacon. Everything was fantastic.

Been going here for years. After original owner left, it seems like the level of service from the front counter declined. They are not friendly anymore. Not sure if there is any relation. The servers are still great. Food is ok.

Awesome place! People are super friendly and I have been there for breakfast often and their service is fast and the food is great!

Banana pudding is considered a side dish here...do mom couldn't complain when I ordered it. The portions were large, but hey I'm 15 and I ate it all. My mom had enough for another meal to take home. Everything we had was comfort food and it was great. Free cup of cream of broccoli soup was served with our meals. It was very good.

If you like comfort food and getting a lot to eat. This is the place. I want sure what to expect, but I was presently surprised, very much a dinner style food and atmosphere. Asked the server for her top picks, because there was a lot of options on the menu. Ended up with the salt and pepper catfish. I barely fished half of it. Was given soup, salad and a side, it also came with hot bread and hushpuppies. Wow! Would recommend. -The Weekly Update

Nicely tucked away and a great place for a simple breakfast. Staff well organized and service is fairly quick. I think they serve lunch and dinner but I had breakfast.

Crystal was a great waitress, she brought our food out very fast and it was good. Best country fried steak, I've had in a long t home. This has become my favorite breakfast spot.

This is great food. My dad was Greek and his parents were born there. This is truly authentic. Loved it!

The Belgian waffle was crispy on the outside; warm and flaky on the inside. The home fried potatoes were a triumph. Cost was reasonable and you get a reasonable amount of food for the money you spend. Our waitress was friendly and offered prompt, efficient service

The atmosphere is good, the serving sizes are adequate but the taste of the food is marginal. Sunday after church crowds are almost a guarantee and the food reflects that. No real effort to make it taste delicious. I go more for seeing friends than the food.

I had beef liver and onions, rice, and banana pudding. Everything was great. Attentive service and friendly. This is my second time coming here and it won't be the last. Very happy.

I stopped in for lunch today with a couple of co-workers for the first time and I was really impressed with everything.The food tasted amazing and the service was very fast, friendly and got everything correct the first time. I will definitely be going back to try more!

Plenty of selections for whatever meal you are about to enjoy! Location is on a cut thru road so locals don’t care if you find it or not because they know exactly where it is.

This is a great, plain, ordinary restaurant. .They do everything right but don't go if you want avocado toast. DO go if you want waffles, omelets, biscuits, gravy. No gluten free anything here.

If you are looking for a pancake the size of your head and a serious step up from Waffle House/IHOP/other breakfast chains, Tryon House is the place to go. The food was good and more than enough. The service seemed a little scattered and we were left to figure out our own ticket (I was with a large group). I will definitely go back!

Another great Google find; immediately greeted and seated by welcoming staff. Ordered the breakfast special, two scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, wheat toast and grits like mama use to make. My palate is extremely pleased 😁

Love it here. Me and my dad get the best Turkey burgers here for lunch and if we make it for breakfast, they have everything even turkey bacon. Great place they can cook!
